And that’s what you get for getting onto sensitive issues in the week. Your brain can’t handle the thought process and there it goes.

I did it again!

What did I do again? Retail Therapy. I think I will be therapy-ing myself constantly for now.

I’ve been looking at the Do As Infinity albums for a couple of months when I bought Sara Bareilles’s Little Voice and Simple Plan’s Simple Plan albums earlier on if you read about it in the ebloggy blog. Another brief visit to HMV took care of just that. I think had an obsession with “Tōku Made” in early secondary school though I have absolutely no idea where I heard it from or who sang it. I only just found out last year with the tune suddenly playing in my head which i can only remember one line of the lyrics, “Just Far Away, So Far Away”. Googling took care of finding the song in which I researched the band as well. I’ve always liked the vocal’s for that band. It’s a real pity they were disbanded 3 years ago.

Yet again, I realize I’ve been slow for yet something else.

More music to occupy me during office hours. Perhaps when I find out how to stream music on wordpress, I just might share it.

FanFiction.Net

I still read FanFiction. Yes it’s even in my favourites list on the right. I have time to read them during lunch break at work which is a huge plus for me. It’s better then doing nothing and stare away at some spot for minutes.

Besides the old Harry Potter which I’ve been reading for years with Harry X Ginny drabble, there’s also Shana X Yuji drabble as well as Haruhi X Kyon drabble and blah blah not to forget Tomoya X Kyou drabble.

In fact, the whole drabbling thing comes from fanfiction.net where drabble means a pairing, which is incidentally, where the title of this blog comes from. Lucky for me that fanfiction exists to entertain me.

Red Tape

In case you don’t know what red tape is, it means going thorough the Standard of Procedures (SOPs) for any matter. The most common occurrence you yourself would experience it would probably be government related – Paying your COE blah.

Getting IT stuff from our IT department has red tape too. The most feared word to hear from them would be “Have you gotten approval yet?”

Well I have no photographs of ourselves so here’s an illustration.

Getting approval’s certainly going one big round of additional paperwork and time consuming. You can’t share your passwords too! In their words, We must write down our passwords, seal it in an envelope and hand it over to a superior. On no account is anyone allowed to open it unless there’s an “emergency” and when the said person returns, the password must be changed and the process repeated. Their version of a faster way of getting approval is to send out the request for access to the person, CC this person and that person, don’t CC me in, BCC is fine and just wait for 3 working days.

Oh by the way, our payback for them asking for food is also, “Have you gotten approval yet?” You can e-mail us and CC him and her and we’ll get back to you in a month!

Yes yes we have all seen that disturbing Advertisement everywhere on TV with that doll’s head being sawed in half.

To that effect there’s Green Programmes everywhere. Yup even in the place I work at.

On that note there’s an Eco-Office Initiative which encourages employees to switch off when not in use policy.

The funny thing is, everyday there are reports to be printed. Fine with me, any decent office would have thick few hundred page reports printed, if not it wouldn’t be much of a money making office. Thing is, they’re usually just drafts which I have to permanently bind with those metal binders. I see perhaps 2 or 3 sets of 500 page reports everyday?

Anyway, I see those same reports on my desk the next day with the word “Hi Lo Khai, Please help me shred thanks”

With that said, so much for an Eco-Office.
